Since Betsey conducted a soul retrieval for me, I have noticed that I relate to myself and others in a different way; I am more grounded and balanced. I am sure that those parts of me that have returned have returned for good. This was validated for me recently when I attended my Godmother’s funeral where several members of my family of origin were present. What I experienced there helped me to understand the depth of the pain those parts of me felt and why they left. Now the that soul parts have been returned and are fully integrated, I can see the old pain and sadness from a new perspective, and it no longer has the power to devastate me.

The shamanic extraction of fear was so on-target, especially your perception that the fear was less about the upcoming surgery itself than about my future after the surgery. Recovery is going well. I feel nudged into that territory of the deeper spiritual, a place where I can just rest and heal. Each time I find myself straining to problem-solve regarding the future, and where to live, and what to do to earn a living, it seems that I am reminded that now is the time to just...heal and be. I feel as though there has been a veil between me and the world for most of my life. I used to go around wondering whether I would have to just work around it forever. Since the soul retrieval that feeling is just gone. I find it so much easier to relate to people. It's interesting to me that for the last month or so I can almost feel my rather rigid responses that used to get in the way of putting myself "out there" breaking up.
